About

Diana at the fairHi!

I love helping things grow; that includes everything from tiny seeds, to large trees, to my wonderful children & their friends.  I love growing my mind, too; acquiring knowledge is so rewarding.

My children found out I was studying to be a master gardener.  They also know I finished a family herbalist course.  They started asking questions, and so did my neighbors.  I didn’t know enough to answer some of the questions, so I ran for the books and learned as quickly as I could.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my studies (which are going to continue), and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with anyone who loves to garden, or wants to.

George PepperdineFirstly, this site is dedicated to my father, George Pepperdine.  He loved gardening.  He was a master gardener, too.  I remember one day he looked at his hand, and remarked, “What a miracle, the construction of our hands.  Look at how it moves, at how much it can accomplish.  If the stars and their motion hadn’t convinced me there is a God, the study of my hand would have.” He had a deep abiding love of nature, and the miracle of its inter-connectedness.

Secondly, my thoughts reach out to the future.  Knowing life is fragile, I want to leave a legacy for my children, nieces, nephews, & grandchildren.  May you never be too full of your own wisdom to ignore the wayside flower.  May you find joy, even awe, at the simple beauty of herbs and their healing, soothing abilities.

    Diana,
I love your giving heart! The fact that you want to share all that you know with others says so much about yourself. I’m so excited to learn from you — thanks for allowing me to do so!

    Judy,
I learn so much from you, Gina and Vicki every time I stop by to pick up another herbal remedy. I can’t thank you enough for your friendship, and your consideration. I appreciate all you do for me, and mine.
